Terms of Service

These terms govern the relationship between Found Sound and clients who use our artist infrastructure services.

The service

Found Sound is operated by Josh Holmes, trading as Found Sound, based in Edinburgh, Scotland, United Kingdom.

Found Sound provides digital infrastructure services for independent musicians. This includes a one-time setup package (custom artist website, smart links, tracking pixel installation, SEO foundations, and email audience setup) and an ongoing monthly platform (hosting, updates, and new release smart links).

The scope of your specific setup is agreed during the free onboarding call before any payment is made.

Pricing and payment

Setup fee: £299 (GBP), paid once before build work begins. This covers the full infrastructure build as scoped on the onboarding call.

Monthly platform fee: £29 (GBP) per month, billed on a recurring monthly basis. The first monthly payment begins when the setup is complete and the infrastructure is live.

All prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed securely by Stripe.

Cancellation

You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time with 30 days' written notice to billing@foundsound.io.

After cancellation, the monthly service will continue until the end of the notice period. No refund is provided for partial months already paid.

The setup fee is non-refundable. It covers the build work completed prior to the ongoing service, regardless of how long the monthly subscription continues.

What we deliver

Found Sound commits to delivering the agreed infrastructure within approximately one week of receiving all required assets from you (bio, music links, branding preferences, and any existing accounts to connect).

The ongoing monthly service includes: hosting and upkeep of your website, smart link creation for new releases (on request, within 24 hours), and any agreed monthly maintenance tasks.

We do not guarantee specific outcomes — streaming numbers, follower growth, ticket sales, or search rankings — as these depend on factors outside our control. We guarantee the quality and correctness of the technical infrastructure we build.

Your responsibilities

You agree to provide accurate information about your artist profiles and existing setup.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to use any content (images, logos, music) that you provide for inclusion in your website or smart links.

You agree not to use the infrastructure built by Found Sound for any unlawful purpose.

Intellectual property

All creative assets you provide (artist photos, logos, music, lyrics) remain your property.

All code, templates, tooling, and infrastructure built by Found Sound remain the sole property of Found Sound at all times. No source code or technical files are transferred to the client at any point, including on cancellation.

You are granted a non-exclusive licence to use the running infrastructure (your live website, smart links, and connected services) for as long as your monthly subscription is active. This licence ends immediately on cancellation. Following the end of the notice period, the infrastructure will be taken offline.

Limitation of liability

Found Sound's liability to you in connection with these terms is limited to the total fees you have paid in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or economic losses, including lost revenue, lost streaming income, or reputational damage.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising from these terms are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Active clients will be notified of material changes by email with at least 30 days' notice. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Last updated: June 2026.
